Car Warranty Over 100k Miles

My car broke down today, any ideas??? battery problem, perhaps?
Today I was driving my Caddillac and during the journey he has just stopped. I wore it to a mechanic and they said they did a diagnosis on the starter, alternator and battery. They said that the battery is bad back. Just bought this battery a year ago. So I made a new and still guarantee that has set in. The car runs fine now. Here is my problem, has anyone ever heard of a battery is the problem if the car is in motion stops? And if it's a bad battery, why did it work so well for a year after being brand new and all stop? Finally what could make a quick battery drain if that is what happened? I drove 70 mph for 20 minutes before he died. All ideas what is, or should I be happy that it was just a battery and continue. Now I am afraid to drive this car to the measure, fear of it happening again. A little help would be great. It is presedential Edition 1995 Cadillac Deville 4.9 V8 100k miles on more than her. very good condition though.
From my experience, many GM vehicles have had problems with battery cables and stands corrading. There is a slight possibility there something else wrong. My first question is: Did you hire a GM dealer? If you do not there is the possibility that you obtained a mechanic greedy. I'm not saying all small businesses are bad. There are many who are highly regarded. However, most of these small Working out a payment schedule. In contrast, a lump sum grant will pay their technicians. The difference: No matter if you do, you are paid the same hourly rate. With flat wage – you get paid for one hour, even if the job only takes you half. My advice to you: If you do not hire a GM dealer, you should. If you did, then you're in good hands. The less your car is, technicians make more $.
