Uneven pavement breaking back wearing a serious problem on a car?
I recently bought a Honda Civic (2004) and seems to have this problem. Is it likely to be costly to repair, is it likely to be covered by my extended warranty. (UK)
One or more of the brackets is not "float" freely. This is a progressive cause or poor maintenance rather than a failure due to workmanship or materials and is therefore very unlikely to be covered in a used car or any other warranty. Servicing integral would have cleaned the calipers and pads off and released new fitted. New discs may also be necessary. Budget £ 200 to £ 500 depending where you go – compare prices.
