What to do? I have a 2001 Accord DX 4cyl.The transmission broke at 150k …?.. continued below?
I bought this to from a family friend at 130k, and I'm pretty sure he took care of him … essentially decent I used it only for k miles 30 after I bought it … I replaced a lot of things like expensive timing belt, tires, wheels, and now also fluidflush regualr .. A auoshop gave an estimate $ 1800-2000 to reconstruct transmitted ,,… a guarantee of 12 k miles I do not know if I have to spend another 2000 to fix … this brake will again … are there any other major problems with the agreements of 98 to 2002 … Should I buy another car …
If you buy one other car is an option, it would make more sense to spend the money on a replacement rather than invest in repairing a car for 10 years. you do not mention if the car is passable or not, or what the problem is other than "broken". I would certainly get a second opinion or third before I condemn the transmission that the transmission on the car 4 cylidner is generally reliable. if the trans is in fact the terminal, then look to sell this car and use the proceeds as a down payment or trade.
