Optima LX 04 or 04 Elantra GLS?
I'm ready to buy my first newer car. I was looking for used (4-5 years) with Cars: The Good Gas Mileage guaranteed cheap Kia and Hyundai offers a 5-year 60,000 km warranty on all their vehicles. I think that Kia are more in my range prices, while Elantra is a bit more expensive but get good reviews in terms of reliability and gas mileage. Tell me, will buy one of these cars about 50,000 miles worth? The warranties are transferable to a second owner? Optima and Elantra owners, what do you think??
Both are decent cars, the Hyundai Elantra is a little better and more reliable. The warranty on these two will be very soon, but the little that remains not transfer, the more you can buy extended warranties from many convenient locations. I'd probably go with the Hyundai, even if its a little more expensive because Hyundai is the brand highly rated by Consumer Reports and JD Power, not Kia. I'm sure you've found the car for less than half the new price and only 50,000 miles, you should have over 100,000 miles of life left in cars. http://www.edmunds.com for more on each model.
